Information You Submit
Text entered in a search form, such as a name, phone number, or address, passes to the outside provider that supplies the results. We do not save a separate copy of those queries on our servers. A message sent to us includes only the details you choose to provide, and we use those details to answer the message.
Information Collected Automatically
Our hosting systems create ordinary server logs that may contain an IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. Aggregated log data helps us maintain the service and see which material is useful. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, when used, advertising measurement.
How Information Is Used
We use this limited data to run the service, diagnose errors, assess traffic, and refine the content. We neither sell visitor lists nor create profiles of individual visitors.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links may lead to Merced County offices, California agencies, courts, libraries, or outside search services. Information submitted after leaving our pages is controlled by the destination's own terms and privacy policy. The same rule applies to sponsored results supplied by an outside company.
Parties That Process Data
Hosting and support providers process technical logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We may disclose information when valid legal process requires it, but we do not otherwise distribute visitor data.
Security and Retention
An encrypted connection serves these pages. Server logs are kept only as long as their stated purposes require. Because visitors do not create accounts, the site holds no user password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This service is meant for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if a minor may have sent personal data so we can remove it.
Your California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, may provide rights to know, correct, delete, or opt out of certain uses of personal information held by covered businesses. California's Delete Act also created the statewide DROP process for deletion requests to registered data brokers. For information held directly by us, use the Contact page; we can check our contact mailbox and relevant logs. Government records held by Merced County, a city, a court, or the State of California remain under that custodian's law and cannot be removed through a request to us.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy will be published here. Continued use after its publication signals acceptance of the updated terms.
